Download the Skin Cancer Prevention Queensland Sunscreen Industry Forum Report – November 2022

Skin Cancer Prevention Queensland is a collaborative with representation from academic and research sectors, clinician-focused professional organisations, public health, government departments, non-government organisations, and patient support organisations. Our goal is to facilitate improve skin cancer outcomes for the population in Queensland and Australia.

In 2022, Skin Cancer Prevention Queensland formalised targets for skin cancer prevention, aiming to reduce skin cancer incidence by 5% by 2032, and 25% by 2050. To achieve these ambitious targets, daily sunscreen use was identified as one of the key behaviours to target as it is backed by scientific evidence for skin cancer reduction, but not currently widely practiced in the population.

To achieve this goal, Skin Cancer Prevention Queensland is hosting an open industry forum in Brisbane.
